An example of Irresistible grace?

I posted this before and it got moved to the praise section, which is fine since it is something that God needs to be praised for.
However, I would like to ask:
Is this truly an example of irresistible grace?
Or is this guy just lying?

 

Who said anything about usurping authority?
In the praise section, it is good as a praise for all who believe as that man does.
Here, I thought I would bring it up as an example for discussion.
If the mods want to remove it, that is their prerogative.
So far, none has had any problem with it. Oh, and they did not move it from this forum anyway.

YOu might also want to look up the term "usurp" I think rebel was the one you were looking for.

 

Yes, that is a proper view of usurpation. I apologize that I didn't understand what you meant at first.
But it seems that you are the one trying to play moderator here.
I never saw any rule against paste the same material twice for different reasons in different posts.

BUt back to the OP, please tell me, what do you think of this testimony? Do you believe it is true? Do you believe that it really happened or do you think he is lying or mistaken?
What is your explanation.

Actually what he is saying is that he DID hate God. BUt God took someone who was totally at odds with Him, someone who totally hated Him and gave this guy a new heart, one that loved God.
Now this guy is a Christian. He now loves God.
God's wonderfully and graciously saved him.

 

There would be no dueling though if they (the babies) met. lol
Especially if webdogs baby likes baseball like my daughter does. WE went in to Costco today and they have the TVs right as you walk in. ALl of them had baseball and she started clapping and saying "yaaaaayy" as soon as she saw it
She is 10 months old.
She is good luck to...the first game I took her to, I caught a home run ball with her in my arms

 

I suppose there are three legitimate respnses to his testimony
1. It is all true, he was drawn irresistibly
2. It is false and he is just trying to sound good.
3. He is just confused.

I believe the first, you seem to believe 3.
I am not going to hash it out since neither of us doubt his sincerity.

 

She doesn't even know what football is just yet, I don't think. funny since we are in Colts-land.

Oh, I have to tell you something since you are from Cleveland:
My wife is from Michigan and had never been to a baseball game before we got married.
Hockey was the only thing she had ever really been to.
I got her tickets to opening day last year to see the (Indianapolis) Indians.
Early that day she went to wal-mart and saw Indians hats (of the Cleveland variety) so she bought one.
She thought I would be so proud that she would have an "INdians" had to wear to the game.
I went to the car to gather up the groceries and asked her why she got a CLEVELAND indians hat??
Needless to say, she was a little but embarrassed.

Just a couple weeks later though we were at a wedding and there was a pastor there from the Cleveland area that gladly took the hat

 

WHich was really as I wanted it.
I originally just posted it as a praise, but then I came back, wanting to discuss it and it was moved.
It worked out great since the same info had two different use purposes for posting.

 

Did you know that the Cleveland Indians used to own the INdy INdians?
They did in the early 50s.
Of course they were affiliated as well.
It was a financial failure for Cleveland and they sold them to a local group and they have been independently owned ever since and are one of the best minor league organizations in the country.


I just saw that they are only a half game back in the AL central.
I didn't know they were doing so well this year. Maybe they will win the pennant this year. Perhaps the WS as well.
