I need to find a copy of the sheet music to "O Come, Angel Band" as made popular recently in O Brother, Where Art Thou? Our church is hosting a funeral service on Wednesday afternoon, and the family has requested this song as one of the deceased's favorites. Anyone got the music? If you do, can we arrange to get a copy emailed or faxed to me? I would greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!

    Angel Band Sheet Music

It's a simple one, but sheet music nonetheless.

I've always enjoyed the Emmylou Harris version on her album of the same name.

One of my favorite versions is Mike Nesmith's version, which was previously unreleased.

When Rhino got ahold of it, they stuck it on a Monkees' greatest hits package, even though it was done long after he left the Monkees.

I've seen the song titled "My Latest Sun is Sinking Fast". I think it is in the old Broadman Hymnal. (I don't have one here.)

I'll check the hymnals I do have.

I have a version of Jerry Garcia singing it, with Old And In The Way. Grisman released it just a few years ago on his Acoustic Disc label.

I've heard it both ways. According to the book "Albert Brumley's Olde Time Camp Meetin' Songs" it is "immortal home."
