Please explain the anointing of GOD...

What is it?

How does it work?

How does God use it in our lives as believers?

Thanks

Does anyone care to answer or is it that you do not know the answer?

Thanks.

A little more context would be helpful. For instance, a certain passage that mentions it that has piqued your interest. It's hard to have anything relevant to say at this point.

God calls certain folks to be pastor-teachers, for example. He prepares them for the ministry. His calling and his oversight are his anointing. He calls some to be evangelists. See Ephesians 4:11.

I mean in the context of my reply to the OP located here:

http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=38757

Can you add anything to my reply and expound upon what I am saying?

I don't understand all of it, but I am wanting to understand the annionting of GOD more....

Thanks.

Currently, no. I have reservations with what you wrote in the link but no time to state them in detail here. I'm a broken record on recommending online sources: visit ccel.org and do a search on how people in the Christian tradition understood anointing. Visit newadvent.org and do a search. Good luck.
