Another attempt by Hellywood to smash Christianity

Liberal Hollywoods hatred of the true Jesus, and the true gospel, is just overwhelming.

Of course, its all been prophesied. There is nothing new under the sun, and everything is working together precisely as God has planned it.

Now, folks, this is why it is important to (a) know your Bible, (b) know your history, and (c) think Biblically and historically. If you are ok in those three areas these type of stunts will not shake you. Those who will be shaken by this, and there will be some, will be shaken because they (a) did not know their Bible, (b) did not know their history, and (c) did not think Biblically or historically. There are some fine scholars out there who you can study to help learn New Testament history (Bruce Metzger, Ben Witherington III, Craig Blomberg, Darryll Bock, Paul Barnett, and NT Wright to name a few). As for Biblical studies, well, I suppose most people on here know that there are many good teachers/scholars out there (John MacArthur, James White, DA Carson, etc).

Above all of that you need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (ie...you need to be saved). If you are not saved you will, sooner or later, fall for these type things. How many times have I heard someone say, "I was a Christian until....", and you can fill in the blank. Our faith must be in Christ and not in circumstances or mortals.

So to protect yourself, and your family, you need: to be saved, to know your Bible, to know history, and to be able to think Biblically first, and second historically.

Why do I throw history in there? Because we learn from history (1Cor 10:6, etc).

 

That would be my question. What difference would it make? And to whom would they compare it, God's DNA?

Its a blog. Scroll down a few articles and you will see the article about A documentary being made to debunk the ressurection of Christ.

 

Well it's all about making money isn't it? Mr. Camereon isn't the only one from Gollywood that has seen the oppurtunity that sensationalism has to offer.

 

Well, the media storm begins. MSNBC has "caught wind" of this Discovery Channel "event". They even have a clip on their website with, guess who, John Dominic Crossan saying that if the body of Jesus "were" discovered it would not harm his faith at all. Of course it would not! The man does not believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ anyway!! Yet, from what I saw, they don't inform the viewer of this. In fact Crossan is the "scholar" who claimed, without any evidence, that Jesus' body was taken from the cross, thrown into a shallow grave, and eaten by wild dogs and birds. So I doubt anything would threaten his unBiblical/unhistorical faith. However those of us who believe the Word of God know that if the resurrection did not occur then Christianity would be false (1Cor 15:12-19). Have they found the body of Jesus? No. If Jesus' body had been buried in the normal custom Christianity would never have existed. Keep in mind that it was both the empty tomb and the appearances of the Risen Lord that gave birth to Christianity. The tomb was empty, there was no body for the family to remove and put in a ossuary. How do I know that? Well one reason is that Jesus' mother (Mary) and brothers believed that He had been raised from the dead (Acts 1:14). Clearly the body was gone! Not only that they personally saw the Risen Lord Himself.

Every time that Harlotwood attempts to discredit the truth of the Bible it only presents Christians the oppurtuntity to prove them wrong and to witness to the lost about the Real Jesus.
