Jury finds Stevens guilty on corruption charges

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A jury found U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska guilty Monday of all seven counts in his federal corruption trial.

The jury found Stevens guilty of "knowingly and willfully" scheming to conceal on Senate disclosure forms more than $250,000 in home renovations and other gifts from an Alaska-based oil industry contractor.

Stevens faces a maximum sentence of up to to 35 years in prison -- five years for each of the seven counts.

Actually, he's not in jail, as he has yet to be sentenced, and he is able to continue his campaign, according to Alaska law.

Not that you care a lot about facts.

Not only that, comparing the honesty and integrity between Republicans and Democrats is the height of being ridiculous. Ones that choose from among the two do so knowing they are both snakes in the grass, and trying to figure out which is going to do less harm.

The fact is that SOME people can only "see" (politically speaking:thumbs:) with their left eye.

Another person who doesn't believe in the American system of justice?

You mean the one that jails one side for a home renovation, and ignore the other side's strongarm coercion of financial institutions ? The one that lets Ted Kennedy go, and and jails our own border guards ?

Not much to believe in.

I'm sure theres never been a democrate in jail for anything.
another attempt to draw people away from whats really going on, in support of satanic beliefs.

Did I miss something? Or did BaptistBeliever tell a whopper?

The stories that I read said he was convicted. It says nothing about going to jail.

So BB needs to change the title of the thread and apologize for not telling the truth.

Yes comrade, all republicans are evil.
I am not a comrade, and at least I got sense enough to see both parties as a threat to our country. Vote Republican, liberal or not. Great compass there.

Hey BB, I thought God was not a Democrat? So why do you constantly push the Democratic Party, its agenda and attack the Republicans? Where's all this unity you keep clamoring for among the Body? Could it be, like your pithy avatar that has "or a Democrat" in very, very small print, that deep down you really do think that God is on your side and all the Republicans can go to hell?
