    If Robert Kennedy had not been assasinated in June 68 after winning the California primary, would he have gone on to win the democratic nomination and beat Nixon?

    Maybe , if Eugene McCarthy and Robert had made ammends . With Eugene's support a fairly large contingent could have been amassed to edge Nixon in 68 .
