Antisemitism in Britain

Alleged antisemitism in the Labour party is making the news headlines here.

Is it real?
Is it an way of attacking the Labour party ahead of elections?
Is it an way of attacking Jeremy Corbyn ahead of elections?
Bearing in mind that the US has AIPAC as a strong lobbying group, are Jewish/Israeli lobbying groups within the parties seeking to gain control?

BUT
What is the "Semitism" they/we are supposed to be anti?
Is criticism of the activities of the state of Israel antisemitic?

Other far more serious (?) news has been displaced by what I consider to be an invented news story:
Is it an way of distracting the news media away from the activities of Israel against Gaza protesters?

The poisoning of 2 Russians & a policeman - by Russians, or by a false flag operator from the nearby chemical weapon facility?

The British Foreign Secretary accepting a donation of £160,000 for the Tory party in return for a game of tennis? And other donations to the Tories from ex-pat Russian financiers?

The Facebook/Cambridge Analytica scandal that appears to have influenced election results, including Trump & Brexit?

The potentially disastrous Brexit negotiations by an incompetent Tory government?.

Tony Blair says Labour needs to clean house. Corbyn should step down.

Why doesn't Brussels and Berlin take all the Muslims in Europe so that the the rest of Europe can live peaceful lives? London might become a tourist destination again--or not.

There's a problem with AS in all parties, not just Labour, although Labour's anti-Semites have been further above the parapet in recent years (Shah and Livingstone spring to mind). There is also a massive difference between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism and is vital not to conflate the two (many British and indeed Israeli Jews are critical of the Israeli government's racist policies towards Palestinians but obviously they are not anti-Semitic ).

Corbyn can't win: last week he was criticised for not spending enough time with Jews, and then, this week, when it emerged he does spend time with Jews, apparently they are the 'wrong Jews'!
Corbyn has no regrets over Jewish event
You couldn't make it up!

This is from the website of the group Jeremy Corbyn went as a guest to celebrate Passover. Note the date - 05/11/2014.

But the "antisemitic" attacks on the Labour leader seem to be affirming that it's OK to be antisemitic against Jews you disagree with ..... especially if they are friends of Jeremy.

Does Labour need Islamic votes to win? The Democrats do and that is the reason that they kowtow to a nut like Louis Farrakhan.

The Israeli guerrillas fought the British from 1944 to 1948, as you know. Also, Britian has had an unfortunate history with the Jews, including expulsion.

Labour is far left to me myself but the left in the USA refuses to confront Islamic atrocities, resorting to more euphemism than Queen Victoria ever dreamt of. Apparently, Labour has an ally in Prince Charles, whom I myself disadmire for his treatment of Di and his extravangance in his causes but then Prince Phillip wished for a germ or something to destroy the human race so I guess those two are alike.
