    ANZAC DAY -25th April, the day Australian and New Zealand service personnel are particularly remembered. Especially those who fought, died, were wounded, in various wars and peacekeeping operations around the world.

    It dates from the Gallipoli Campagn, where many Australian and New Zealanders first met major action in the first world war. After 8 months of horrible warfare the troops withdrew from a tiny beachhead that had been a mistke in the first place, having achieved nothing except the creation of a soul in our army.

    (Please remember that the British and French also lost many troops in the campagn, more in sheer numbers than Aus and NZ .... also may Turks died)

    They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
    Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
    At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.

    Regards
    Bob
