Are all things lawful for me? 1 Corinthians 6:12

1Cor 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

I am wanting to use this verse against my anxiety to say that i do not need to have anxiety over everything because all things are lawful for me and God will guide me in his will.

For all things to be lawful would seem to me to mean all things are not sinful, which maybe is true in that we are in Christ, honestly i am not sure. I had a train of thought on this before i think, but not sure what it was.

Are all things not sinful for a believer, but of course not all is good or healthy and if we dive into unhealthy actions that we might would think sinful either God will chastise us and bring us out or we were never saved?

I am not trying to use this for sin, but for example to but have anxiety about if i can pray with my eyeglasses on our if that is paying with a head covering.

Thanks for any help

Praying with glasses on is not a head covering. And don't worry about that head covering thing. Its a totally disputed, gray area.

All things are lawful means all things. Except of course sin, like adultery, lying, killing, having something in your life that you love more than God, coveting, dis-honoring your parents (OT laws repeated in some fashion in the NT)
