I have accused this two term president of being the impetus behind the racial divide, and there have been some who say I am wrong and even racist for making such claims.
Still, I submit, one more attempt by this particular president to fan the flames of racism and anger by accusing Trump of being someone, who if elected president, would "tolerate" the klan. I contend that while Obama is permitted thesame right to speak his mind as the rst of us, he is the sworn president of the United States of America and he knows that the mere mention of the "klan" in a sentence is caustic and divisive, and the one word that can send both whites and blacks into a fit of rage.
What responsible leader of the free world would be caught dead throwing gasoline on an open fire? What president of a nation as great as this one would even lightly insinuate that one of the two candidates running to take his seat in the White House is going to "tolerate" the klan if elected to the office of president?
This kind of incendiary verbatum is irresponsible, and regardless of his intentions to speak what he believes may be true, does not belong in the rhetoric of the president of these United States. It is this kind of acrid talk that has led me to believe that Mr. Obama is partially responsible for the return of racial division in America, and if there is to be any healing of the escalation in racial tension across the nation, Obama will have to make ammends, apologize for his past rhetoric and actions, and work hard over the next few months to promote a spirit of healing, not more division, between white and black America.
Truly America deserves better than this. And Obama can do a lot to turn the tides he has had a hand in turning ugly.
For instance, and I do not know how much of this is true, or merely rumor, but the leadership of BLM's has said riots will follow if Trump is elected President. See this link: http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...st-is-hell-bent-on-inciting-riots-over-trump/ I can't help but believe this kind of hateful rhetoric comes from insinuations that Trump will tolerate the KKK, if elected President.
HEALING HAS TO.START SOMEWHERE, and like the song says, "let there be peace onearyh, and LET IT BEGIN WITH ME!" That should be Obama's goal in the next 90 or so days.
PS - I know many will say that Trump has been incendiary throughout his campaign. True he was, more so before his nomonation, but that is no excuse. Still, he has not made any attempts to fan racism since the GOP nominated him, in fact he has gone out of his way to court the black vote, and that has been impressive in itself. Besides, one wrongdoes not deserve another. Obama is in the position thatTrump seeks, and he owes it to all Americans to fan the flames of unity, not division.
That is my view. So, what is yours?
