John the Baptist ate locusts. Was he sinning? :saint:

I was always taught that it was not the bug called locust, but a type of flowering bud referred to as a locust.

Anyways, who hasn't tried chocolate covered grasshoppers, or ants.. I have.

And those slugs are so juicy, especially the slimy ones that you don't have to chew.. they just SLIDE down your throat.
The aftertaste takes a bit of getting used to, what with the slimy green stuff left on your tongue, but after a while, it becomes an acquired taste..

Of course, you could always put them on a stick between marshma2llows and roast them.. the marshmallows takes care of the aftertaste... It sorta gives the slugs a smoked flavor..

If you use hickory wood, it is really good!

And if you think I actually eat bugs, I have a ocean side condo for sale!

If God ever made a mistake, it would have to be slugs...

How much is that condo?

having been born in Africa, I have eaten chocolate-covered ants (a delicacy in that area at the time).

I have also had elephant trunk.

In some places in Africa, one can purchase biltong... elephant jerky. One day, I hope to try it.

John the Baptist's locusts were excluded from prohibition a few verses later. Something about where the leg joint was located.

And NO! Young Mom, I did not eat bugs as a child. Staples, paint thinner and gasoline, but no bugs! I have texture issues.
