Whowillgo---Might I ask a question of those that do not believe in OSAS ? If it is possible to lose our salvation how can we then be saved again ?

You can't.

Hebrews 6:4-6 ( KJV ) 4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

If you are "largly in agreement" then you will find the passages of scripture that are used to attack OSAS actually speak of something other than salavtion or are reinforcing OSAS.

Which passage are you refering to?

John 15:5 - what does it mean to 'abide in [Christ]'?

"abide" means to stay ( in a given place, state, relation or expectancy).

Where do you want to go next?

And what does one have to do to 'stay' 'in Christ'?

Hey, sorry for the delay. Been busy. I posted my answer in a new thread "Understanding John 15".

Not in this context. Here we are obviously talking abide abiding in the context of time not place.

Jhn 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Jhn 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Jhn 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

1) to remain, abide

b) in reference to time

1) to continue to be, not to perish, to last, endure

a) of persons, to survive, live

c) in reference to state or condition

1) to remain as one, not to become another or different

2) to wait for, await one
