Bad news for Trump.

More Hispanic voters are casting ballots early this year than did in 2012, a statistic which suggests that Hillary Clinton could actually have a chance of turning the state blue.

About 1.4 million Arizonans have voted early, and according to AZCentral, the Arizona Democratic party is reporting that about 12 percent of those ballots came from Hispanic voters. This is nearly double the turnout of 2012, when by this point, six percent of the ballots cast early came from Hispanics.

In past elections, the turnout rate among Hispanics has been notoriously low on a national level. In 2012, 48 percent of Hispanic voters participated, while 67 percent of black voters participated and 64 percent of white voters participated, according to The USA Today. It’s for this reason that Arizona’s former governor, Jan Brewer, said last month that Arizona won’t be turning blue this year because Arizona Democrats always stay home.

But according to 12 News, a recent poll showed that 83 percent of Hispanics in Arizona said they plan to vote this year. Arizona has the sixth highest Hispanic population in the country, and of all eligible voters in Arizona, 22 percent of them are Hispanic.

A couple of comments about this article - no way are 83 percent of hispanics there are going to turn out. The GOP has half the lead among early voters than it did in 2012, at least a week ago, but they are still ahead down there.

Romney won the state by ten points and it's +5 R still in registration.
