Auto update issue

    OK fellow brains:
    I use MS automatic updates to keep my computer current, but today it keeps trying (or failing?) to install a update for active-x. It will say update installed, then turn around 2 min. later & do it all again.It was K819696 if I remeber right. I had to finally just deactivate the progam to keep it from popping up.
    Any ideas??

    You might do a search on microsoft.com for that file and see if they have any answers.

    I had one about a year ago that did that, and as I remember when it wanted to install I told it no and it finally went away.

    I've tried the tell it no, it ignores it. I'll check MS tomorrow when I get in. I wondered if it needed a restart but I thought it told ya if you did or didn't need to restart. Anyways Thanks!
