I just found this one today and I can already tell I'm going to really enjoy it. If you are a WWII history buff, like I am, you should love this Twitter account.

    It's WW2 Tweets from 1939.

    WW2 Tweets from 1939 (@RealTimeWWII) | Twitter

Tells the story of World War II on a day-by-day sequential basis, as if someone was tweeting it as it happened. The start date is August 31, 1939 and it goes all the way through to August 16, 1945. Watch WWII as if unfolds on a daily basis in tweet format. Lots of photos, newspaper clippings, etc. Absolutely fascinating. I'm going to start back on August 31, 1939 and work my way forward so I get caught up. The action starts with the Nazi false flag operation at the radio station on the border of Germany and Poland which gave Adolf Hitler his pretext for invading Poland.

If you are on Twitter and you follow this account you should scroll down, scroll down to August 31, 1939 and start the narrative.

If you're not on Twitter and you are looking for an excuse to join, here it is.

    War is terrible.

@RealTimeWWII: Govt. air raid warnings advise pet owners "it really is kindest" to destroy pets during war & includes advert for "humane killing pistol". WW2 Tweets from 1939 on Twitter
