    They should have eaten a hundren time more. Maybe there would still be Aztecs.

    I was aware the Aztecs held human sacrifices. Was not aware of the information contained in this article. Thanks for posting.

    I was aware of the 15,000 sacrificed to impress the Spaniards that they should also willingly become sacrifices . . . the Spaniards did not cooperate.

    I wonder why they were so upset.

    The aztecs were cannibals...but they couldn't stomach the spaniards. :applause:

    So they threw up their hands in disgust. :applause:

    While we're on the subject...did you hear about the Aztec cannibal that passed a Spaniard in the woods? :tongue3:

    It is amazing to me how the liberals that write about the Spaniards make them out to be the villains.

    There is always this attitude that this behavior was ok in their society. Canabalism . . . It is like the parents talking about a boa constrictor that killed the baby, "Oh don't take our pet too."

    There are just some things that should never be tolerated . . . and in light of that - I have always thought that the Spaniards showed significant restraing when dealing with the Aztecs . . . they didn't kill them all. Actually, they let most live.
