Baptist Board Posting Rules

Rule #0: This is a private Baptist board. Conduct on Baptist Board should reflect the person of Jesus Christ.

Rule #1: The Golden Rule - 'Post unto others as you would have them post unto you'

Rule #2: We offer a wide range of forums. Most are for BAPTISTS only, to post opinions, views, beliefs and ideas. We also have a few "FREE FOR ALL" Forums for NON-BAPTISTS, with pertinent topics that relate to everyone. Friendly nonmembers are invited to listen or participate as they desire, in the appropriate forums.

Rule #3: Show grace to the other posters. When someone disgrees with you, discuss it; but be slow to offend, and eager to get into the Word and find the answers. Remeber, when discussing passionate issues, it is easy to go too far and offend. Further, if we are "earnestly contending for the faith" it would be unrealistic not to expect at times to be misunderstood or even ridiculed. But please note that your words can sometimes be harsh if used in the wrong way. The anger of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Rule #4: Personal attacks will not be tolerated. The board has an edit button enabled. We encourage you to use it and edit your own words, in an effort to maximize rule number one. Moderators and Administrators will be visibly proactive in dealing with potentially offensive situations.

Rule #5: Posts of a violent or threatening nature, either implicitly or explicitly, will be deleted, and the poster’s membership revoked. Suspension of posting privileges is not ‘banning’, but a opportunity to reconsider words posted, tone of posts, and the feelings of others. We encourage personal problems with other members be resolved via email or personal messaging.

Rule #6: We reserve the right to remove any posts without notice to the author or those who have replied.

Our first goal here is to share the word and love of Christ with all people. Remember, unbelievers visit this site as well and when they see the anger and hatred toward others in the Body of Christ they immediately pass a bad judgment on us as a whole. Please be sensitive to this issue. As mentioned so many times already, let us "speak the truth in love."
