I was at my dentist's office today and had an hour to wait while my wife had her teeth cleaned. He has two computers for patients to use while they are waiting. I read several news articles and then I decided to see what was going on on the BB.

I tried to open the BB and was surprised when a window popped up saying the web site was blocked because of Racism. I have no idea what software he uses to have web sites blocked, but ...................... seems the BB has a reputation among some in the general public ... not a good reputation it seems.

That said, this board has picked up a reputation for racism over the years. One certain poster gets quoted for various issues.
Lately, one group has been trying to figure out the rabbit pictures. Their conclusion was rather amusing.
A lot of unbelievers do read this site and talk about it.

People who have similar experiences should post them here. The author of this post has a reputation for flat-out lying for no other reason than he thinks it will make his enemies look bad. I find this dubious and want proof.

I've had it blocked before and my own child-safe settings blocked at home. It didn't say why, or maybe it did and I forgot. I do remember that I had to set it much different than I wanted to be able to show this board.
Software has a tough time putting things into context. Get enough strings of letters or as noted above, colors, and the block goes up.
I am blocked from looking at one website because my phone has behaved maliciously in search terms. It was some informational website that I'd never been to, so news to me! I think I was reading up on the latest tests for renal tubular damage markers, absent biopsy. Definitely not malicious search terms!
Safety settings seem the culprit. I can say without a doubt that it can and does happen!

The child safe settings I have place mature 17+ yr old ratings on all forums. This is a generic rating since the content of forums cannot be rated. If I have child setting turned activated on my tablet, it will not access this site. It won't access any other forum I am part of either.

You can buy software that block all kinds of things. And when you try and access them you will get an explanation of how your settings and the company's are blocking the info. Second, in some cases the company has to label the website a racist website, and if that's the case we would all know.

You will see an explanation. You will not see "this site is blocked from your view because of racism".

This didn't happen. At least not like it's being reported.

However in the context of this thread it is not racist, unless I am incorrect in believing that BroC is white. If he is African American and tells me thus, then I a will apologize.

If BroC is white, as I believe, then it would be racist to call him a "good old boy". I have not done that nor am I going to.

I used the word "boy" because of the immaturity he has shown in his insulting replies and his refusal to answer questions and discuss rationally. He reminds me of an immature 16 year old.
