How can you debate with people that believe what you believe. I was raised and consider myself
Baptist I believe in baptism by submersion.
But, because I say I am a Christian in my profile I cant post here. That is fine please remove me from your forums I will not be posting here if I am limited by my denomination. I thought we where all Christian and one Body in Christ but I can see that Doctrine and Denomination are more important here than the word of God Thank you for your time.

I wonder if Baptist post in the other christian denominations section on this forum and if thats allowed. Why does there need to be segregation among Christian....I thought my input could be useful in the Baptist only forums
I will not apologize for what I say its all scripture I never add to nor do I take away from the Word of God. But,man allows Denominations, Doctrine, and there own views to out way the Word of God.

I feel that I would cause more harm here than good by stirring up peoples emotions and steeping on toes and my post will probably be deleted if they dont fit the criteria. So I bid you all fairwell and God Bless.

    Dear Brother Lowery,
No one asked you to apologize for your belief.

Simply to respect the rules of the board that you should have agreed to do already when you joined.

I would hope that you would decide to stay around.

Your input is worthy and will be a blessing to others, including many Baptists.

I for one, and I feel I speak for other Baptists on this board, believe that All of God's Redeemed through Christ are Dear to His heart.

This is the whole number of the elect from Adam till the end of the world, who shall be gathered together in the name of Christ to praise Him for His Salvation.

Again, the rules of the BB are plain and they are clear.

you are welcome and I encourage you to remain and engage on the forums identified for all other Christians.

I for one do not mind who God uses to step on my toes. More times than I can count He has stepped on my toes long before I ever preached the message He uses to correct me.

Whatever your decision, I hope the Lord Richly Blesses you in your walk and service with Him,
    Bro. Dallas Eaton

Who may post in Baptists Only section.

"Only Baptists (active members in Baptist churches, not just someone who claims to be a "baptist") may post a topic or even respond. There are many other areas on the BaptistBoard for non-baptists to post to your heart's content."

What two Baptists agree on everything?
I have never found a Baptist I couldn't debate something over.
    Maybe i am just disagreeable!!!

A motion has been made...I second that motion. Following Robert's Rules of Order as all good Baptists do :D , is there any discussion before we vote.

    Hey Guys,
this is a serious issue. Many new members are offended by the simple but clear posting rule of the board that places non-Baptists in the other Christian Denoms. forum.

Those who are offended by this are because they see this as a real issue dividing Christians.

Sometimes I can see their points, however we all must follow the rules.

    Frogman,

I agree and appreciate your attempt to turn this back to the original subject. God bless.

Rev. Lowery I agree that you should remain too. Looking at your statement of faith you seem sound....probably sounder than some that post here.

    Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I do hope Brother Lowery will decide to stay on the BB.

However, whether he does or whether he does not, the rules are still clear regarding posting on Baptist Only Forums.

I'm all for inclusivisity. But this is a Baptist board so it makes sense for part of it to be exclusively for baptists. That doesn't mean other groups are any less Christian.

I am more concerned about the lack of a section for non-Christians. I can understand how the administrators may wish to avoid having hard core atheists or secular anti-baptists or the promotion of non-Christian religions or atheism. But in doing so, we also miss out on those non-Christians who have sincere questions about Baptists and Christianity.

Anyway, just some thoughts and not really a complaint.

    Dear GloryToGod,
Thanks for your encouraging words for Brother Lowery.

Now, I just don't understand why you had to close that statement the way you did.

Closing, opening statements and statements in between like that are very easily mistaken as arrogance, baiting, inuendo, implying somethings that you may not have meant for them to imply about other members here.

I am going to leave the statement.

I have made foolish statements like this before also.

Please be more careful in the future.

Oh I am sorry Frogman....I just thought some issues like Baptism...assurance of salvation...Gods sovereignty....and some other doctrines were common among Baptist. After reading lot of threads I am amazed that that isn't true.

And that there are many nondenominational Christians who do have sound doctrine.

    Sorry...that's what I meant.

Tell you what Frogman let me know when I do that...I didn't realize it came across that way. I assumed that the way people disagree a lot on here that it was obvious what I meant.

    Dear GloryToGod,
I was blown away also when I first came onto the BB. I will be the first to witness to the fact that I am blessed to still be here.

The greatest blessing of the BB is the learning of patience with others. The best way to show that I am speaking truth is that I not try to force it upon anyone else.

I am not saying Brother Lowery nor you have or will do this, but it is easy to get angered. We all need to learn more about the spirit that we are of and not be so quick to be offended at differences.

We each draw from our personal history and experiences. Does God not use these and His word to assure us and to strengthen us? If we were to ask Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, or any one of these individually, I think they would agree.

    Anyway, may God Bless you,
    Bro. Dallas Eaton

I am not trying to drive Brother Lwery away either, but, did anyone feel the way I did about his lack of regard for Doctrine? That is the problem with many on this board and in Christianity as well. If it were not for doctrine we would not know anythig about salvation, Christ, etc. I for one think these things need not be swept under the carpet for the sake of peace. If Brother Lowery does not want to make doctrine an important issue that is fine, just not on the Baptist forum.

I have to say that I am always amazed when people come to a privately owned board paid for by someone else then complain about the rules that exist.

This board is owned and paid for by the Webmaster. We are in "his house" and therefore should play by his rules.

Posting on any board is a privilage, not a right.
