Not that I can think of Saggy. All of the nationally observed Christian holidays have been around in a similar format since the Middle Ages. We're pretty much latecomers to the theological scene.

Reformation Sunday has, well, Reformation roots. Baptists participated in the American Revolution (and fought fiercely for separation of church and state), so we had our part in the Fourth of July.

So, Joshua, my brother...... so we had our part in the Fourth of July.

Are you saying that Baptists are responsible for the Big Bang? (July 4th is fireworks, is it not?) [IMG] so we had our part in the Fourth of July.

Cheers, and Happy Christmas to you and yours

pre-1979 I emjoyed and Baptist history prior to that all the way back to the original church... lately, no :D .

Luckily I'm a Baptist and can just ignore "them flatlander idits" as some of the old mountain folk up here say, and these good people are the hardest of the hardshells.
