I am pleased to be here. I am fufilling the role God has designed for me. I am KJV only because all others are corrupt. I homeschool my child and I enjoy teaching. I follow God's word and my husband's direction to the letter. For me that means skirts only, no jewelry, makeup, basically modest at all times. I do not have many interests since the home and homeschooling takes most of my time up. I do not have time time for Christian friends either. I again feel it is best for my husband to have his interests/friends because he leads a much more stressful life than I. I do not read any other books but the Bible. I stay away from the television as well as the radio. I find that the above things are frivolous and distract me from my role as a Christian woman. I find it easy to submit to my husband and do not question his authority. I let him be the man that God calls him to be. I feel it is disgraceful when women do not submit to their heads and follow the ways of this fallen world. I live as simply as I can. I own few personal possessions and again do his because of my beliefs. I keep to myself on Wednesdays and Sundays. I have never been a fan of music and do not sing Christian music. Sounds horrible but I just do not care for any. I prefer to pray alone at church as well. I do not care to share my burdens aloud and most of the time I keep them quiet even to my husband. I feel it is good to keep my focus on God and share my thoughts with Him only for He is what matters most and should always come and remain first. I do not like to mingle since I leave this to my husband as it should be plus it allows my husband freedom to be the head of the home. I have been called a fanatic but I know that I am living for the Lord and not for myself or man!

Welcome to BB. Just a heads-up - It is OK to have a stance of preferring the King James Version but to call the other versions "corrupt" is against the rules of this board.

Hi, glad to have you aboard here at BB

Several things concern me about your post. First, I noticed you have not yet set up your porfile.

You state that "I do not care to share my burdens aloud" I Thes 4:18 tells us "Wherefore comfort one another...)

You mention you dont like to sing even Christian music. I am sure you are aware that the Psalms were songs. I may agree with you that some of the 7-11 songs may be a bit off the chart, may of the old favorites are good basic theology.

I see nothing wrong with TV or radio in themselves (in fact, I used to work for a Christian radio station) The preaching and teaching is outstanding - but I would agree that you do need to excerise good judgement.

There is more, I would like to say, but we go on from here.

I do look forward to your participation on BB

JS, welcome. You're going to find that most of the folks here are quite taken aback by your first post. I, for one, have never met any believer with a story such as yours.

It is such an unusual story that you should not be surprised to find some skepticism from some of our folks.

If you are "trolling" us, that's okay. It'll all work out.

If you are telling us the truth, then we are here to help.

If she believes what she says in her first post, then she shouldn't be posting here to begin with.

Welcome to the Baptist Board. I agree with you about the KJV, and I believe any other translation to be a perversion.
