Baptist Pastor Who Denounced Muhammad Restates His Faith

    (Phoenix-AP) -- The minister who called Muhammad "a
    demon-possessed pedophile" at last year's Southern Baptist
    pastors' conference has appeared again this year to restate his
    faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible.
    At this week's gathering in Phoenix, the Reverend Jerry
    Vines of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida,
    didn't refer directly to Islam or its founder. But he told his
    fellow pastors that "all religions are not equally true," and
    "There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we
    must be saved except the name of Jesus." The Reverend Vines said
    he was reading the statement "slowly so even Tom Brokaw can get
    it."
    Last February, the N-B-C anchorman accused Vines of
    "preaching a dangerous message" of "hate" against Islam. Vines
    responded then by noting that Muslim writings say Muhammad took a
    wife who was only nine years old.

    All Christians should proclaim loudly that Jesus Christ is the One Mediator between God and Man. Jesus Himself said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, there is no other Way to the Father than through the Son.

    Christians dont hate anyone, yet we want all who are in darkness, which is any member of any other religion to find the truth which as a Pastor here has found is only found through Christianity.

    So true Ben & thanks for sharing Cindy. The world is literally hell-bent on taking the ecumenical thing too far.

    What would the networks say to "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet?" That ain't exactly tolerant of other faiths either, folks!

    And on the pedophilia comment, it is legal in Islam to take a wife if she is at least TEN years old. That gives me the creeps.

    It is so sad that these people do not know our Lord and Savior, Jesus. I hope that's not too intolerant and hateful to say.
