Baptistblog.org Down?

    Anyone know or have any information about Baptistblog.org? It has been down for days. Should we check on going somewhere else? Or, is there a maintenance problem, at this point, I can find no info about what is going on with it.:confused:

    I have PMed AndrewT about it. I am getting quite frustrated with it, and if it goes on much longer I am going to move my blog someplace new. But I would like to be able to get my stuff of the baptist blog site.

    I got an email back from Andrew last night. He is switching servers, and it should be up and running sometime this week.

    Thanks webdog and PastorSBC1303. It is frustrating when you are in the dark. I have a site with Homewithgod, and when they were down for over a month with very little status as to what was going on a lot of customers left.

    Changing servers doesn't happen magically. it takes a while to transfer all the files, and then verify the files to make sure that everything actually made the transfer.

    Be happy and thankful that the servers are being upgraded/serviced. Maybe that'll free up some resources to be used for the BaptistBoard ;)

    Trotter that is completely understandable. What is frustrating to me is that no one tells us anything as far as the baptistblog site. Just communicate to us what is happening, etc.

    Since I don't use it, I guess I didn't think about that.

    I don't think I could blog. My life is pretty mundane, and I am always worried that what I put up on the internet will come back to haunt me.

    I tend to share my thoughts on forums.

    As a few know i was without internet fromapril thru the 12th or so of june. I had a blog on the site also that I would like to get to. Anyone heard anything else the past few days?

    I emailed him last night aking him this same question. I would like my info off of there if they are not planning on bringing it back. The server was supposed to be switched a couple weeks ago.

    It generally doesn't take a month to get a dedicated server up and running and your old site migrated over. A few days at most if everything goes well. Here's my guesses:

    -Not enough time.
    -Data loss / corruption.
    -Financial difficulties (entry level dedicated servers start at about $100/month plus setup, management costs, and licensing fees).

    I finally decided to try my hand at blogging after I saw sbcpastor's blog on wordpress.com

    I even linked it to our church's website... call me daring!

    Now I have to really watch what I say.
