Baptists in the Interfaith Alliance.

While I disagree with the emphasis of the Interfaith Alliance (after reading several pages of their website), I must support the ability of members of churches that are aligned with other groups to join the Alliance. The denominational groups themselves are not members of this Alliance.

I am Christian first, Baptist second, Southern Baptist third (by choice). I have worshipped in many SBC churches, as well as other denomination's churches, over the years. I have found a wide range of political (as well as theological) views among the members of those churches.

I tend to be on the conservative side of the middle politically (and more conservative theologically). My mother, on the other hand, tends to be more liberal, both politically and theologically. This tends to bring about arguments. We always end our discussions with a mutual agreement to disagree, but to still love each other.

Bill Clinton is a member of an SBC church, and tends to be extremely more liberal than I am. Yet he is a member of an SBC church.

In this country, you are free to worship God AS YOU DESIRE. We do not allow government-run churches. We also allow our church members to disagree with us. (Not saying anything about other countries -- I do not know about them).
