Basic Theology Quiz - how did you do?

100% on the first one

I think the second one had some trick questions. LOL
You scored as a Neo orthodox

You reject the human-centredness and scepticism of liberal theology, but neither do you go to the other extreme and make the Bible the central issue for faith.

You believe that Christ is God's most important revelation to humanity, and the Trinity is hugely important in your theology.

The Bible is also important because it points us to the revelation of Christ.

You are influenced by Karl Barth and P T Forsyth. (Don't know who these guys are...)

no surprises here

You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

Reformed Evangelical 93%

First one 100%

You scored as a Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

Funny thing is, I have never studied Wesley or Methodism - only the Bible. And I'm Baptist. :type:

Just because you never studied it, does not mean you were not influenced by the doctrine.

Yeah, pretty simple...even someone with a seminary degree in evangelism, church growth and missions can get 100% (that would be me).

I got 100% on the carm quiz. I was a bit surprised on the last question regarding why God created us. Perhaps Matt was just aiming at a simple answer. I guess I wanted to see the sound catechism answer: To glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

That makes no sense. I am baptist and only read the Bible. I do not read books about the Bible written by men. How can I be influenced by something I have never heard about?

Besides that, we know nothing of the quiz author or how it is scored.

TC, I am taken aback by that kind of sentiment. "I am a Baptist and read only the Bible." Most Baptists of the past while putting the Bible front and center as God's Holy Word still have read books about the Bible so they could understand it better.I would hope that most Baptists of today wouldn't have your attitude.

Anyone can be influenced by things they have never heard about. They can be guided by philosphers they have never heard of before -- yet apply their ideas nevertheless.

Sorry, but I just cannot believe that without some kind of proof.

TC,

Perhaps your proof can begin here: http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=50703

And your statement in that thread: I take it to mean general knowledge books. I read all kinds of history, math and science books. Right now it is Four laws that drive the universe by Peter Atkins.

That there is philosophy in history, math, and science is abundantly clear to everyone who reads them.
