I guess he didn't like it.... call me Captain Obvious. Maybe we should put aside all open debate and have no sole liberty... call me Sgt. Sarcasm

"It was interesting also as to how many of these theologians were women .."

This is my favorite part. [IMG]
I'm tempted dress in rags and go stand outside the window of his church next Sunday. When he comes out I'll cower and say "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just wanna LERRRRNNNN! I won't do it again, I promise!"

    Great letter, Clint.

It's always interesting to find out how others see you from the outside, isn't it? Of course, there probably are a number among the membership who see it the same way.

    Good job.

I'm sorry he had such a bad experience here but it would have been nice if he could have given a couple of examples.

Calvinists? Sure, but it's a non-essential, so why shouldn't Calvinists have the liberty to come to that conclusion?

KJV mocking? Not at all. It's true that we mock the legalistic "KJVO" and what amounts to the worship of the KJV, but I've never seen the KJV mocked.

Post trib? Yes, but same as with Calvinists, it's a non-essential so why make that big a deal over it?

Anti local church? No, I've never seen that here. Actually, everything I've seen shows just the opposite.

Anti Biblical standards? No. I've never seen that here and the vast majority of the people I've run into here are very aware of what the Bible says.

Anti soul winning? No. Shoot, we even have a whole forum devoted to evangelism.

Remember, that's "thousands of posts" over how many years?

It's easy to post four or five times in about five minutes.

Oh no, women! Run away...run awaaaay!

    Great letter Clint!

And Gina don't forget to drag your leg a little and go "Yes, master. Sorry master. Sorry God gave me a BRAIN master."

I love that point about the 1000 post club having no outside life.

It has been my experience with many hardline Fundys that debate is not encouraged and this seems to be the primary reason for attack on this board. Wouldn't this be a boring place if we all agreed? [IMG] I agree with Mike on the Women issue [IMG] How dare them Women discuss theology seems to be the attitude. :D

    Bravo Brother Clint!!!!!!

Well spoken and superb address point by point. Perhaps it would behoove the good Dr. Mike Allison, to return and lead us on the "righteous path". Of course he might eventually slide into one of those thousand posts club and discover that he needs to get a "real" life.. [IMG]

As for me it is such a pleasure to discuss and dialogue with my Brothers AND Sisters in Christ, and as with Apollos, who learned the way of God more perfectly from Aquilla AND Priscilla, I learn so much from each of you.

    May God bless.

    A servant of Christ,
    Drew

Thanks, Clint; thanks Drew. I know I am one of those brazen women who draws fire. And thousands of posts, too....

However let it me known that I only spend about 2 hours cumulative on the board a day. And that is so great! It allows me 22 hours in bed eating chocolates and reading romance novels!

That post used perfect grammar Helen. I suggest you quit acting so educated. It will only lead to you later wanting to learn things like creation science, and that could only lead to you sharing what you've learned.
    Shame on you.

"Let it ME known" ??? I typed way too fast and I'm going to leave that there just so we can all see that all us women are idjuts.

Can we add a Brazen Women's Forum?

I did too, and I wasn't disappointed. We all sift the wheat from the chaff (me, I'm a chaff spreader), but my experience has been enlightening if sometimes frustrating. Kind of like life.

Thanks to the Baptist Board for such a forum.

"At present we are men looking at puzzling reflections in a mirror. The time will come when we shall see reality whole and face to face! At present all I know is a little fraction of the truth, but the time will come when I shall know it as fully as God now knows me!"

A little off topic but Helen..
My kids were standing here and just saw your pic. All of them commented on your "pretty gold hair" and Nina is enraptured over your whole picture, lol.
They're not really used to many blonde haired people if that explains anything. [IMG]
