BB malfunctions?

    I have seen a lot of double posts,and thought I saw someone say something about being slow, I am running slow on the Bb too,and not other sites. Is anyone aware of a problem? I've had trouble for about 2 days now. I know we once had a similar problem that was for days until it was finally able to be fixed.

    Yeah it is real slow. To avoid double posts only hit the button once rather than hitting it two or three times because the board is so slow you don't know if it has gone through or not.

    I also operate a UBB forums and the Classic version isn't designed to handle the number of posts this BB gets. The more posts a site builds up in this design the slower the boards get.

    What a site this size needs is something that uses a database to control threads rather than a flatfile system. The down side of upgrading to something that will handle this size traffic is the ability to transfer the membership and topics to the new file system.

    I have been doing research to try to move my boards from the UBB Classic to a database system and that has been my roadblock. I run a poetry site and I cant loose all those poems people posted.

    However these folks seem to offer a good product and will be able to convert from UBB Classic to their system. http://www.invisionpower.com/ip.dynamic/products/board/index.html

    If Baptist Boards did a collection to upgrade the boards Im sure that they would have no problem raising enough funds.
