BB Upgrade - today

    The BB will be down for up to 30 minutes today as we'll upgrade the software.

    This will be a major upgrade and there will be many great new features so it's well worth the downtime.

    Some of the new features:
    - Sortable Member Directory
    - "Today's Active Topics" will be a rolling 24 hour period
    - "Re: " will be added before replies to topics in forum summary
    - Increased security
    - Time based "edit by" message options.

    The upgrade is finished (and without any problems), PTL!

    Check out the new member directory - click on the "directory" link in the upper right hand corner (next to "my profile")

    Hey I just put my name in the search and I came up. Under my name I hit "more". I had the option of sending a pm, or something else...dag nb it....I forgot, I got excited about the pm thing.

    Anyways...I like it!

    In addition to the 2 obvious new features mentioned above, the "Today's Active Topics" displays topics on a rolling 24-hour period (always showing the active topics in the last 24 hours) rather then rolling over and starting fresh at midnight every night.

    "Re:" is now added before replies to topics in the Forum Summary. Also, the Forum Summmary "last post" now links to the actual post.

    Due to the visibilty of member profiles in the "directory", I'd like to ask all members to take a few seconds and update their profiles to maximize the benefit of this new feature.

    WEBMASTER:

    I have a question. I am a borderline illiterate when it comes to computers so I don't know if this would be possible, but....

    Is there a way to remove the "add poll" button from all the forums except the 'Poll Forum'?

    There are polls popping up everyplace. [​IMG] It makes it hard to keep up with them! [​IMG]
