I want to know, why are people so
rude, Is it normal to be rude or does
people just have a naturality to be rude?

I've had a few people come back with a
responce, That was down right rude & in
some cases they were nasty. What is it on
here? I know people don't alway's agree, But
why be so rude about it. We are God's people
Please let's get along...Do we agree or not..?

in general, i think such times are a great opportunity to turn the other cheek. sometimes i don't want to and that helps show me how much i still need to improve. so ultimately it's a positive thing [IMG]

but unfortunately there are times that people do not recognise the difference between debate and Christian debate

    yours, Jon.

What do you mean when you say Helen seen this? Did she contact you about it? Maybe try a private message to the offending party? If that doesn't work, try contacting the moderator of that forum, Tom Vols. He will be willing to check and see if he feels something should be done or not.

That is sad. I am very direct, although trying to couch what I say in humor, satire, etc. When people take that as "rudeness", it hurts me.

Debating brings out this "in-your-face" mentality. Glad THIS forum is a Fellowship forum, so that we should not have to worry about it. Sorry if you've had a bad experience.

I found the thread. Feel free to contact a moderator if you think something is out of hand and can't be resolved personally. The moderator can read over a thread and make a decision to correct it if he/she deems necessary.

    Willow --

The people here are generally very nice. While I
have not seen the post you are talking about, I
will say that sometimes people misunderstand,
and that may lead to a little tiff. This has
happened to me, but I have also been quite frank
with others at times, because I trusted they could
    handle it.

Don't take it too hard. I am sure the person meant
    no harm.

I don't know about the rude part. I DO know that posting about the war right now is going to raise some dander.

I try to state my opinions in a Christian manner; but I'm sure I fail many times. That doesn't mean I am being rude; just getting tired of repeating the same thing over and over when no one is listening.

    Rudness. It's like an infection.

I have found people here, in my little mid-west town, to be just as rude, as "city folk"....
You know the old story, "move to the country where the people are friendlier"?? Not so.

What I find to be the saddest part of all??

The woman who "cuts in front of you to get the parking spot at Walmart, then scowls at you when your child crys, then has some snotty hateful comment under her breath as she has to wait 7 min in a line..........yes that same woman, sings in the choir at church?!"

I thought we as Christians were supposed to be different?

    2Corinthians 6
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."
    17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
    Touch no unclean thing,
    and I will receive you."

Separate not meaning "run for the hills and hide"
Separate meaning NOT ACTING LIKE THE LOST WORLD??

How will others see the Light of Christ in us, if we act like the lost world???

    Something to think about.

    Laura

Well, I'll tell you one thing: I don't think any of the
drivers are believers on Fridays! I had to run some
errands, and I forgot about the Friday-driving
thing, until I had several diffeent vehicles at
different locations around town pull in front of me
when I had the right-of-way and was already out.
8oD With the last one, I just put my hands in the
air and screeched at him. It was just too hilarious
    after a while.

And I have to go back out there! I forgot
something! Wisdom Seeker, would you lend me
your daughters when I go to Costco?

In my little town, it is just Fridays -- any time of the
    day Fridays. It is weird!
