I was listening to Benjamin Netanyahu as he spoke to the General Assembly of the U.N. today.
Speaking of the resilience of Israel's people, he quoted "Samuel" saying,

"The eternity of Israel will not falter".

An internet search leads me to 1 Samuel 15:29

    1 Samuel 15:29 (AV 1873)
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent:
for he is not a man, that he should repent.
Checking a couple of Jewish translations:
Robert Alter (2019) translates the passage:
And what's more, Israel's Eternal does not deceive and does not repent,
for He is no human to repent."

    Everett Fox (2014):
And also: the Eternal One of Israel does not speak falsely and does not repent--
for he is not a human-being, to repent!
    RJPSgs (2023):
Moreover, the Glory of Israel does not deceive or have a change of heart,
for [God] is not human to have a change of heart."

None of these really match up.
    Perhaps Netanyahu misquoted the source?
If not Samuel could it be Isaiah?

Isaiah 42:4, (if Israel was interpreted as the 'suffering servant')

    Isaiah 42:4 (NIV 2011)
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth. ...
    What do you think?
    Is the biblical quote manufactured?

I think Benjamin's quotation was spot on.

You provided several translation choices, Strength, Eternal or Eternal One, and Glory. The lexicon provides "everlastingness and perpetuity" as additional translation choices for 1 Samuel 15:29. Thus the Eternity of Israel is a valid translation choice.

    1) Benjamin said if you strike Israel, Israel will strike you.

    2) He said Israel will do everything in its power to stop Iran's nuclear weapons.

    3) Speaking to the Hostage holders, He said "Let our people go."

    4) He said Israel will "bring our hostages home."

    5) He said War Criminals are in Iran.

    6) He said the UN has become a contemptuous farce.

    Hummm... interesting phrasing for Netanyahu

    .............................................
    (Netzach Yisrael Lo Yishaker) .....

First letters of phrase are NILI, not an uncommon name for a girl in Israel.

It's the acronym for an underground Jewish spy network in the region during the Ottoman Empire (WW1 ~1915-1917).

And as Van mentioned, an alternative interpretation of the verse.

1 Chronicles 16:17, And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, . . .

Psalms 105:9-12, Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

I've been praying daily for Prime Minister Netanyahu to have the resolve to defy the world's attempts to pressure Israel into compromising with Satanic Islamic Supremacy.

I pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu to defy the Woke Western Liberal Democracies, including the United States State Department, and to defy the utterly corrupt United Nations.
