    It was called unbiblical on another thread. I found that interesting. Maybe they will speak up.

    Actually, the reports of the committees of both 1963 and 200 do contain mention of "soul competency' and "the priesthood of the believer", but not an article on it, per se. The 1925 version does not, as far as I can tell.

    I would call the BF&M, or any other confession or statement of faith, "unbiblical", if it were elevated to a 'Creed' status. As a Christain believer first, and a Baptist, second, I have no 'Creed', and will accept none, but the Bible.

    The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are only rule for faith and practice?

    I agree with the principle, basically, but this is not Biblical language, as far as I have found, so I have to say "No!" at the risk of being misunderstood.
