In light of another post in this forum, I can't help but ask the following.

Without grabbing your Bible to cheat - how many of these can you get right?

There are 25 questions, each one worth 4 points.
If you have to ask someone or grab a Bible, you have to answer no.

Well, we know that at least 3 people lied on the poll.
3 people answered "yes." There is not such book in the bible as "Revelations." It is "Revelation." Just one.

Memorizing exact quotes has never been my forte. I have done it in the past but unless I frequently review and re-memorize then I lose it. I do, however, have John 11:35 down pat. :D

    From one of the "liars."

    C4K is correct.
I have a habit of adding an "S" when there isn't one.
There are no intentionally "trick" questions.

I must have missed this part of English course.

Should this not be "There is no such book in the Bible as 'Revelations?" I thought that "Bible" was capitalised when referring to the Holy Bible as the title of a book?

Perhaps we are all capable of typing errors? I know that I commit more than my share.

Great day---TexasSky!!! Blackbird scored a 'hun-durd!'(Though there was a slight---slight---slight struggle with those beatitudes!!) Does that qualify him for Texas citizenship???? :D [IMG] [IMG]

Could someone explain to me how Saul became Paul?

All I see is Saul/Paul being referred to as "Saul" through Acts 13:9 (quite a few chapters after his conversion in Acts 9), which says "But Saul, also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him..." Henceforth, he is known exclusively as Paul.

I can't find a reason in the text for the change.

Guess I need to resign from my church. Obviously, I am not "knowledgable" enough to be a member. Oh, but wait, I'm learning more about God's love, mercy, grace and forgiveness IN church all the time. Wonder if that thirst for knowledge will get me a reprieve?

I think MSINAVE would win the prize if I was giving one. ;)

    There aren't any 'Beattitudes' eiether.

I remember when I was in Bible college one teacher said he would FLUNK anyone who called the last book of the NT 'Revelations'. Simply because it is not a series of revelations but rather a continuous uninterrupted revelation.

I meet a lot of Pentecostal people who call it 'Revelations'. I also worked with one dear Pentecostal lady who thought I worked with the 'death.' She meant 'deaf'. In five years' time she never did get it right.

I voted no on Revelations because that isn't how you spell it.

    Saggy Woman,

Give yourself the points if you read it, no matter how you spell it.
