Lancaster Bible College Professor Doing Performance Art at Gallery Tonight

"Krystal Folkestad Grant once thought protesting was limited to marching, sitting-in and delivering impassioned speeches. That changed when Folkestad Grant was in graduate school....performer Nobuko Miyamoto, as well as others, expanded Folkestad Grant’s idea of what protesting could be."

"Folkestad Grant, an assistant professor of music....will present her thoughts on this topic Friday during her lecture-performance 'Breaking Chains: Fueling Freedom with Protest Songs'....The event will focus on protest songs that speak to injustices against African-Americans. There also will be a brief singalong portion for those who choose to participate."

"Some of the songs...are spirituals, such as 'Go Down Moses.' Folkestad Grant also will discuss popular music that shed light on civil rights issues, including 'Strange Fruit,' popularized by Billie Holiday....'They’re songs that have impacted me'"

There is injustice everywhere on this earth and it happens to everyone. How about the injustice that is happening to our fellow Christians in the Middle East?

Yawn.

Too many victims in the world. No one left to pity them and supply them with all of the attention they desire.
