Just heard Joe went to the doctor today. They are saying he sprained his ankle playing with the dog?

Anyone else hear about this?

Hypothetical question and not wishing harm to anyone,.... but...

What would happen if he were unable to take the oath of office in January?

peace to you

Oh, the pathos. I had thought this was under Jokes & Humor and was looking for a punchline. I suppose there is some humor still.

There are certainly reasons for him not being able to take the oath of office, e.g., massive fraud from his "most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics."

Should Biden pull off his fraud election to the Presidency and not be able to full the office (big surprise, NOT), Kamala would take over as President and our nightmare would be much worse. :Sick Anything else you want to know?

Seen serious consequences when an old person breaks bones. FIL fell and broke part of his hip bone, a small part on the edge. Doctors said needed to be pinned. Operation successful, died 2 weeks later in ICU from RDS due to infection. He wanted to watch the mid day TV news, got up and at 82 slips on a bedroom carpet because he moved too fast.

What if he were physically unable to take the oath? Would Kam:la be sworn in as vp and then immediately sworn in as pres?

Unless he is in a coma -there is no reason he could not take the oath.
Did you have a specific example in mind?

No, I guess it’s never come up before. I ask because of the super secret visit to the doctor. I think I read he has had a stroke in the past and some of his mental confusion when speaking got me to thinking the “what if”... question.

Again, not wishing ill toward him, just curious of the constitutional path if a pres elect is unable to take the oath.

peace to you

Harris would be sworn in as POTUS if Biden can not be.

Do you know for certain, or just guessing? Does the constitution even address this issue? I understand the vp takes over if pres can’t continue, but does that rule apply if he’s not pres yet?
