Bidonomics: Rewriting history

Just saw a little bit of the speech POTUS is giving about his economic programs.

He mentioned a factory, in Maine, that shut down in 2013, and proclaimed it was the result of “trickle down” economics.

Only problem…. 2013 was the 5th year of Obama/Biden administration.

Without even realizing it, POTUS has declared Obama admin economic policies to be a failure.

Peace to you

The Democrats have been using "trickle down economics" as a shibboleth against open market forces for years. Once again the Democrats are charging their opponents with their own malfeasance.

The Democrats want to spend tax dollars in "infrastructure" but that is code for spending on government jobs, or jobs for unions that support the Democrats. They think the money that goes into government spending will trickle down to the private economy. But that theory has been debunked time and again. Remember all the spending during the "Great Depression and the Great Recession?

Well, I haven’t heard of the government spending as “trickle down”.

“Trickle down” was used against Reagan's plan of lower taxes for everyone, especially corporations, that would stimulate growth in the private sector, raising pay for workers and less government regulations.

The Dems don’t do “trickle down” in that sense.
They want higher taxes, more regulation, more government control.

peace to you

Trickle down "theory"

Donald Trump is a multi-billionaire.
So how many people does Trump hire for his personal assistance.
Maids, drivers, mechanics - grounds keeprs, tax accountant, ect.
All those employees have jobs because of Trump.
In addition, they pay taxes -
And for those things that Trump does not hire for himself,
for example - going out to dinner, buying a new vehicle, buying groceries, and ect
helps a business to make money
That is trickle down economics.

Then the Trump organization has over 20,000 employees - that is a lot that helps our Gross National product!

and then:

But that's not the whole picture. There are likely other jobs that might not exist without Trump. Economists call this the "multiplier effect."

New York's Broadway shows are a good example. Visitors who come to see shows, may stay at least a night or two at New York City hotels and spend money at restaurants and stores. So any analysis on the economic and job impact of Broadway takes into account more than just ticket sales and employment of actors, singers and stage hands.

So who provided the info, that I posted ?
Must have been Fox news - right?

Dems likely avoid that term (“trickle down”) for their economics, since they consider the phrase a pejorative to use against their opponents. But Dems do imagine, or want others to believe, that their economics have that effect. And that seems to be what was meant by the comments.

Well then, if POTUS was referring to Obama policies as “trickle down” and pointing out the business closed in 2013 (5th year of Obama/Biden term) then he is definitely calling Obama economic police’s a failure.

I’m surprised no one pointed this out in the news.

I guess too much other stuff going on

peace to you
