Blue Ribbon Campaign

I think that most ribbon campaigns are little more than feel-good fads that accomplish nothing (disease-of-the-month awareness). I admit that I had not heard of this one until the OP. If the display of a blue ribbon is an encouragement to my town's local officers (wonderful people), I am for it.

I like the idea. But don't be surprised if it gets countered with a Black Ribbon campaign representing, according to one study, the killing of a black person every 28 hours by law enforcement, security guards or self-appointed vigilantes.

Here we go again? Trying to instigate another fight over race. You should be banned for continued attempts to disrupt threads with radical issues.

Indianapolis has a blue light campaign, which involves putting blue bulbs in your front-porch fixtures, as you know.

I see no need to disrupt Christmas to show support for the police. Obama went to Hawaii on a luxury vacation so there should be 17 days of no politics except in solid Democrat places like Minnesota.
