Boldness in Outreach: M*slim style

I wanted to share with you something that happened last month. On the church marque, I placed two simple messages. On one side I wrote "Jesus is God". On the other side I wrote "Jesus is Life".

One Sunday morning I noticed someone had changed the signs, rewriting the messages. On the one side it said, "God is Life" and on the other it said "Jesus is Jesus".

A pamphlet on Isl*m was placed in the door of the church. They believe Jesus is a prophet but not God.

Evil is bold in the world. I pray God strengthen us all for the journey ahead.

I was surprised to find out that many muslims know where bible verses are located better than many christians

I think it would have been appropriate to have placed an "AMEN" behind the change of, "Jesus is Jesus" and left it there for a while.

Update: They stole the letters "Jesus is God" from the sign.

I replaced it with "Muslim: 'Thou shall not Steal", Jesus is God, May He Forgive You"

Does scripture say "steal" or does it say "sue".

Paul says much the same thing about taking lawsuits before non-believers. He says it is better to be defrauded than for Christians to go to a secular court against other Christians. Also, Roman law allowed Roman citizens (especially soldiers)force others to carry their loads for up to a "mile".

I believe that is the context of Jesus's words.

So, no, I don't think I'll offer the sign to the thieves.

Matthew is the "sue" context but in Luke 6

28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29"Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. 30"Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.…

So give em the sign. Hey here's a thought place strips of bacon on and around the sign. That should keep them away
