A new report indicates that Andrew McCabe, who resigned as FBI deputy director this week, knew about the thousands of Clinton-related emails found on Anthony Weiner’s laptop for at least a month before notifying Congress.

The Wall Street Journal reports that, according to text messages the paper reviewed, “FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had learned about the thousands of emails by Sept. 28, 2016, and Director James Comey informed Congress about them on Oct. 28, 11 days before the presidential election, the messages show.”

According to the report, FBI agent Peter Strzok wrote in a text on September 28, 2016 to Lisa Page, “Got called up to Andy’s earlier hundreds of thousands of emails turned over by Weiner’s atty to sdny, includes a ton of material from spouse. Sending team up tomorrow to review … this will never end ….”

The Wall Street Journal also reports that this delay is part of the Justice Department’s internal investigation into the FBI’s behavior before the 2016 election.

They all were so certain that Hillary would win, and then none of this would have ever come to light.

Prime example of why I do NOT trust our government.

We should never trust government, that is what this country was founded on but it is a necessary evil, For this reason it should be kept small and have as many of the decisions kept as local as possible. Unfortunately Marxist see it as a tool to further their social justice agenda. Its their crutch to support their lack of imagination. In short progressives are lazy.

Well, as bad as it sometimes is, at least we have the Congress, the people's representatives, now checking this stuff out and bringing it all out into the open. This looks like the government is working as it should and this is the "checks and balances" the Founders had envisioned in action.

Nothing is coming into the open. The stuff too egregious to hide is simply boiling over. 99% will stay covered.

They look like a bunch of amateurs. I guess 8 years of no oversight and no reason to hide made them sloppy.

Sad that the MSM were the ones that made McCabe finally release them, after sitting on them for a month. Now it makes sense why Comey reopened his fake investigation - he about had to pretend he went those these new emails so he could clear Hillary again. His deep state hand was forced.
