Bonanza - the reunion movies

I recently saw one of the reunion movies -
of course, Three of the Four major actors - Green, Blocker, & Landon
had passed before those movies were made.

For what ever reason - Roberts chose to not be in the movie.
(his character "Adam" was still in Australia. He son "AJ" did appear.)

My big question is why David Canary ( Candy Canaday) was not in the reunion movies.
Should be noted he appeared in 90 of the episodes. By him being there would have
more continuity to the movies.

And just curios - if Pernell Roberts was asked to reprise his roll of Adam.

I have looked and have not seen anything on the net.
