The World Conquered by the Faithful Christian - Richard Alleine (1611 - 1691)

I read this book on a flight recently and found it to be both encouraging and quite convicting. It is a book about the Christian's spiritual warfare and takes straight aim at our own worldliness as well. He wrote: "A true Christian has his enemies under his feet even while he is in the fight. He is a soldier as soon as he is a saint, and he is a conqueror as soon as he is a soldier. His very taking up arms ensures his victory."
