Bowing the knee worship

Bowing the knee in the bible is the expression of worship. Daniel got in trouble for not doing it. When I see people face down prostrated, or bowing on one or two knees, (to rioters) it seems disgusting.

Perhaps Christian groups could make some display of bowing the knee to God alone. (at police stations, monuments, or wherever)

You expect anything less from Democrats?

I will bow my knee to only the Holy Trinity, never to Donald Trump, or Joe Biden, or any human being, or the United States flag, or any created thing.

No problem. However, let's say Trump had a rally where he bowed his knee and asked for prayer where crowds also bowed the knee, I think that would be fine. The people would be bowing to God,

and if you were to have an audience with the Queen of England?

(of course- this would not apply to the Pope)

NOPE! and evidently - you would never be invitees to see the King or Queen of any country.
It is simply a sign of respect, for the office Same when you are required to stand for a judge when
he enters a room.

According to the U.S. code - "No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing."

If it's good enough for a material thing like the United States flag to not be dipped to the monarch of Great Britain, then it is certainly good enough for me as a child of God to only show obeisance to the King of the universe, which every human being will eventually render to Him.

This is correct. One Greek word usually translated "worship" is proskuneo, which does mean to kneel.

In Japan there is the standing bow which is normal, but then the seated bow, called the zarei. It is done when both are seated. However, once in Shikoku, as another missionary and I were leaving the house, an old lady did a zarei to us as we were standing, and said, "You are like gods." We immediately corrected her, of course, but there you have it. To kneel to someone who is standing in Japan is usually to worship them. To kneel to another standing human being in American culture is just too much like worship.

If the pope or queen knelt also and asked for prayer to Jesus, fine. We would be kneeling to God, not men.
