Drudge is now reporting that Sarah Palin has announced that she will resign as governor of Alaska, effective July 24. Some are speculating that this is in order to focus on a run for the White House.

If the GOP wants to waste its nomination in 2012 on a quitter, then the GOP should nominate Sarah Palin - who couldn't even complete a term as governor of Alaska.
I say good riddance to her from politics. Just imagine if she had become vice president and then resigned. I am extremely pleased that I didn't vote for her for vice president last November.
Christlike, as always, Ken.
Thank you.![]()
Must be all of that spam.
Why don't you talk to Pastor Mitchell about spamming this forum????
Wow, and it didn't take long for the DNC to draw first blood over this...

Just a signal that the DNC is scared...
GO SARAH...
Show the ignorant what a real woman is made of!
NOOO.. not the beehive!
Huckabee/Palin 2012!
Because he's not the one who jumped in with his rude comments.
Apparently, you think that any comment that does not agree with a comment of yours to be rude.
Palin has no idea what she is doing. In her statement, she said she didn't want to be like the usual lame duck politician, so she was resigning. What kind of logic is that? How about actually focusing on doing a good job? It is as if she believes the only function of elected office is to run for re-election.
And apparently, you're so busy making up spam threads
It's been a while since I have started a thread on this board. You don't even know what you are talking about in that regard. Maybe you need to read more on this board and post less.
Like Ken said, it's a good thing we didn't elect this quitter to the Vice Presidency, she might have quit before her term was over.
Usually a person who has been given the trust to serve the state is obligated to complete their term unless there is an emergency or scandal. I guess Palin just had a bad hair day and has decided to call it quits.
