Drudge is now reporting that Sarah Palin has announced that she will resign as governor of Alaska, effective July 24. Some are speculating that this is in order to focus on a run for the White House.

If the GOP wants to waste its nomination in 2012 on a quitter, then the GOP should nominate Sarah Palin - who couldn't even complete a term as governor of Alaska.

I say good riddance to her from politics. Just imagine if she had become vice president and then resigned. I am extremely pleased that I didn't vote for her for vice president last November.

Better to have a Republican governor resign to run, than a bunch of Democrat Senators hold on to their office, but refuse to show up for eighteen months while they're busy campaigning.

But at least you didn't spam us with more bluegrass threads.

NOOO.. not the beehive!

Huckabee/Palin 2012!

Huckabee??? No, put her with a Conservative.

How about an all female ticket of Palin-Bachman?

Or maybe Bobby Jindall. Or maybe Mark Sanf...never mind.

I did like Sarah's line: "In our family, we're fishermen. We know that only dead fish go with the flow."

Like Ken said, it's a good thing we didn't elect this quitter to the Vice Presidency, she might have quit before her term was over.

Usually a person who has been given the trust to serve the state is obligated to complete their term unless there is an emergency or scandal. I guess Palin just had a bad hair day and has decided to call it quits.

Palin has no idea what she is doing. In her statement, she said she didn't want to be like the usual lame duck politician, so she was resigning. What kind of logic is that? How about actually focusing on doing a good job? It is as if she believes the only function of elected office is to run for re-election.

Apparently, you think that any comment that does not agree with a comment of yours to be rude.

And apparently, you're so busy making up spam threads that nobody even reads, you don't recognize that what you say is rude.

I'm not from Alaska, so I don't know what her platform was, but what if she accomplished all of the goals she ran on?

It's been a while since I have started a thread on this board. You don't even know what you are talking about in that regard. Maybe you need to read more on this board and post less.

And, you've started at least one more thread than I have in a while so if you are going to accuse me of being a spammer, then you are accusing yourself of being an even bigger spammer. So there.

Oh, well I guess that must have been some other KenH spamming the board with dozens of threads.

LOL!!! I love it when liberals are so scared!!! That they have to talk like you are...

Well, one thing positive has come from today's events...

Palin stole the news coverage from Michael Jackson...
That's something Obama couldn't even do this past week..

This just proves that Palin is talented!
