Broke my other leg

    Well, I broke my OTHER leg last night, so now I"m in a wheelchair for two to four weeks. DH told me a story about a man who broke his leg, then broke his arm getting or trying to get in the tub, and I had been paranoid about that happening these past few weeks. Well, instead of breaking my arm, I broke my other ankle. Not as badly, though, so it won't take as long to heal. My hair was all sticky when I got to the hospital, because I had been in the middle of washing it when I slipped, so first thing I did when I got home was rinse it out. I got Lortab this time. And I'm still going to church this coming Sunday. SO THERE!

    (I'm not sure I would admit that I had broken both legs though) :laugh:

    Just kidding. Get well soon. I'd say "break a leg", but you don't have any left. :laugh:

    I bet those doctors are getting tired of your sense of humor about now...

    I wonder if the doctor found out you were walking on the other leg, so they broke it so you would stay put...

    I wonder who is gonna trim your toenails...

    I bet you can't balance on the back two wheels of the chair and go successfully down the stairs...

    I think you should ask the doctor if you'll be able to rum a 6-minute mile after he fixes you all up...

    I guess now you have an excuse for 'lame' humor...

    Oh, boy, I like how you can't reach to where I am...

    Thank you. Well, I haven't been able to get a walking boot yet, and I'm stil "technically" in a temporary cast one the other leg. I should be getting something a little easier to manouver soon. Oh, yeah. And Roberto, I already started the eight mile thing, but it's going to sort of like how the French won the first olympic running marathon. He was the only one who knew for sure where the route was, and walked the whole way!

    Will this sort of wagering lead to dancing, ccr? Speaking of dancing...Sopranette is teaching break dancing at her new studio/emergency room....

    I'm sorry Sopranette. That wasn't very nice of me. I should be horse whipped for joking at a time like this. I know you are in pain between the Lortabs. How did you break this one? Was the castless leg jealous of the other one? Did you fall off your high heels again? Did you owe money to some guy named Vinnie with one eyebrow ? I'd offer to come down and lay hands on you and pray but I'm afraid I'd break something....

    I'm sorry to read this happened, but you are in my prayers. Be careful from now on, although this time I'm willing to you a ...... well, forget that thought.

    Anyway, don't send anyone to McDonald's for you because, depending on your age, you might start singing, "You deserve a..." well, forget that one, too.

    Yes! Yesterday I wasn't able to do much but just sit down. Today I got a little practice in and it isn't impossible, afterall!

    Well Sopranette, it looks like I am going to win this race after all. I thought the competition was going to be tough. You have touched my heart with this. In 1996 my wife was hit head on by a car in her lane. The crash broke both her legs, the right one in two places. It was very tough duty. The tough get going is what I have always heard. So I will hold you up in prayer because you will overcome this knowing that Christ will get the glory and I just might get to challenge you to a foot race after all.
