    Baptist Board Bullies

Are there more bullies lurking on Baptist Forums then any other Christian Forums?

I have only been on this Forum for a few days and have mixed reviews. I have been a baptist for over 5 years now and have extra time on my hands and felt I should join a forum. However, my experience for the most part has been horrible.

Every turn, it seems people are belittling each other and mean. Cut throat and demeaning. There are only a hand full of people I have encountered and I am grateful that have been very warm and friendly.

Many here seem to only provoke strife and kindle fire's. They seem more interested in being a bully rather then edifying.

I have joined other "debate " forums, philosophy, Charismatic, Catholic, Sports, ect ect. None of those forums treated fellow members as harshly and mean.

I wonder if you are all aware of it? Are you aware of all the bully tactics and harsh things you say daily to each other? I crowds as though school is in to pick on certain other groups and division. I am not saying Division is not okay "Scripturally" but divisions of class and rank.

I see, moderators warm some for lesser crimes then others because there theology is closer together in the same threads. I don't see fairness, I see people trying to get away with verbally with as much as they can.

I don't see love, I see gossip and personally attacks. I don't know If this is a place I want to continue in. I am wondering if it will ever change.

Most importantly I am wondering If I am the only one aware of it?

    Alen

I think, I will use this place as a point of reference and use the archives from time to time. I will log in to evaluate posts and hope to gain some positive insight.

I won't create anymore threads or post reply until I see the forum rules being used correctly, fairly and with out prejudice.

I won't return until the bullies are gone or admonished to the point they stop.

This place in the stat it is in is filthy. I wonder if it's like T.v, as long as the ratings are good, oh well.

I'll be around, but you just won't hear from me until this place is cleaned up.

    Alen,

Not trying to be a bully, but just curious why in the first post you signed it Allen, and in the second you signed it Alen. Just curios which it is so we will know how to address you when you ask a question. Thanks.

Things do get heated around here, especially on certain topics. That doesn't mean the whole place is full of bullies. Yes, some of us could be a little kinder or word things differently, but remember, all we see here is just words on a screen. We can't see the facial expressions or tone, so it's easy to assume someone is being harsher than they perhaps are.

By far. The problem for them is that, at this stage of my life, I'm not really interested in being bullied.

The moderators aren't going to be much help. I was just banned for two years for pointing out that a poster here made personal attacks against my children. Of course, they allowed her to go right on going after my children.

So, as I see it, the moderators are a big part of the problem.

There are some folks that are red ragged when something Catholic comes up.As I cannot post on the Baptist only forums, I cannot comment on that section. But, On the Catholic forums there are just as many rednecks....particularly where there are those of the neo Liberals and the Conservatives .....me being at the Conservative end.....much much ruder in fact.

Well, good luck with all of that. Yes, there are some people here who, in their own insecurities that are as obvious as rain, like to verbally push people around.

    So what.

    It's everywhere. Real-life, computer-life, work place, church ......

Move on. Learn to avoid/ignore the insecure bullies and stay away from crazy/chronic victims. They are both annoying as gnats.

I just don't see, Alen, how you determined yourself to be judge and juror here of people and to "scare us" with your threat to never post here again until the mean people are gone.

Get over all that .... it serves no purpose and the admonishment carries no weight.

Converse with those of us whom you feel comfortable with and ignore the rest.

I was not involved in this issue, but I am smart enough to know that there is another side of this story being left untold. I'm sure our members are smart enough as well.,

Can you explain how disrespecting the Moderators is going to help your cause?

Perhaps you don't realize that we Moderators have a life beyond the Baptist Board. We all have priorities. For me, the Baptist Board is a pleasant distraction and an enjoyable pastime - nothing more. My family and my ministry come WAY before my Moderator duties here.

Take some advice from a BB veteran; don't take things here too seriously. It will not be
beneficial to you in the least.
