Bro. Curtis, when you go out you do go ALL out! :wavey:

Btw, thanks for being objective enough for all the times you stood up for Rush. Been listening to him every day because of you and really enjoy him.

Gotta keep those SUVs rolling. It's an election year and the GOP is in trouble.

It's a little late to be bitten by BDS syndrome

Looking at the total assortment of candidates available and the price of fuel, we're all in trouble.

BDS has zero to do with it. Bush is openly hostile to his base, and if you can't see it, perhaps you are the one who's bitten.

For the life of me, I cannot imagine Ron Paul, or Fred Thompson doing this dance.

I can. None of them are immune to the pressures that produce the "oil dance." And none of them can or will do what is necessary to end the prospects of having to do the dance.

No doubt he has angered his base a time or two, myself included

BDS usually manifests itself when the afflicted one sees a photo or a video of him and begins barfing or name-calling.

Yeah he looked silly, and he probably felt silly.

Yeah, and since the Saudis told him to pound sand, he may even regret it.

I don't want my president doing this. I am ashamed of him. BDS has nothing to do with it.

Carpro, yer wrong. We can become independant of Saudi oil. All it takes is guts.

It also takes tapping our own resources as well as taking genuine steps to reduce consumption.

Even if we can do the latter without crippling the economy, we're not allowed to do the former. It'll take both.

We could use nuclear power, get rid of cafe standards and turn energy conservation ideas to the private sector, and drill our own oil. I'm not 100% convinced that we need to use less. We are the only country in the world that denies it'self it's own resources. We'd rather do the pagan dance than anger our own stupid hippies.

A president with guts would never let himself be seen doing this.

If Bush had not been blocked from the ANWR drilling, he might not have had to go look foolish.

Another thing, if he had been successful and the Saudis had promised to help, many people would have said 'Bush is hob-nobbing with his new world order buddies and the fix is in'.

I wouldn't consider sucking up to a religious aparthied state to help us, when all the help we need is underneath our feet, a success, no matter the outcome.

World leaders do have to swallow their pride sometimes. Even ours.

That's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard.

We sell them $20 billion in arms, missles & the like, because we have this huge debt to China, and beg them to produce more oil, only to hear "nah".

And those 19 terrorist passports still say "Saudi Arabia" on them.

I'm sorry, but you sound like a linguini-spined liberal.

Bush has done some stupid things in his eight years, but this takes the cake. He'd rather dance with Saudis that drill our own oil.

You'll never talk me out of hating this, so I'm bowing out.

You'll never hear a liberal defending Bush, and there's nothing wrong with my spine.

You know better than that. He has proposed that very thing on more than one occasion, and been blocked by the senate.

Would he? Why do you ignore his efforts to use our own resources that were stymied by democrats?

Your sense of fairness should require you to place the blame where it belongs.

You may make light of his efforts, but it is undeniable that he made them.

OK, I've settled down a bit.....

Carpro, I believe Bush worked harder to get amnesty for illegals than he did for the ANWAR drilling.
