Looks like W. and GHWB would like us to have President Jeb. That would just about stick a fork in the country! What next? Neil Bush, the son involved in the crooked Silverado S&L scandal?

The more Bush men that obtain that office the better. Sadly though, it will probably be Hillary in '08 and Bill will probably become the next Secretary General of the U.N..........then the Antirchrist will be happy that his time has finally arrived.

While your overcooking of what Jeb would do to the country is pretty ridiculous, I don't think that Jeb should or could become president.

If Jeb is elected president, why don't we just call the whole thing off and have a monarchy?

Actually I think one of two scenarios will play out. The Dems will do well this fall... and ultimately remind voters why they got rid of them... opening the door for McCain to run as the Republican champion OR the GOP will turn it around... the current situation will be more or less static... and McCain will run as the "Maverick" who takes his marching orders from neither party.

A GOP turnaround remains a strong possibility since the Dems are basically running on "We're not Republicans" rather than a positive, united agenda. They have alot of ideas but aren't united around a core set... and even if they were, running as a liberal still won't work. It doesn't sell. The Dems either have to change their platform, change the opinions of the American people, or hope for a default win because of GOP ineptitude. The last one option is where they are currently hanging their hat.

In any event, I think a McCain win in 2008 is a very good bet... and probably a realization of Poncho's worst conspiracy nightmares. I don't personally think McCain is trustworthy.

If Jeb is elected... what would that have to do with a monarchy? If that is the will of the people exactly what objection are you trying to point to?

Actually, gave myself a better idea! With apologies to Dr. Seuss and "Green Eggs & Ham"

    I am Bush

    Bush I am

    That Bush-I-am!
    That Bush-I-am!
    I do not like
    that Bush-I-am!

    Do you like Hussein, Saddam?

I do not like him, Bush-I-am.
I do not like Hussein, Saddam.

Would you like him here or there?

I would not like him here or there.
I would not like him anywhere.
I do not like Hussein, Saddam.
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

Would you like him in a house?
Would you like him with a mouse?

I do not like him in a house.
I do not like him with a mouse.
I do not like him here or there.
I do not like him anywhere.
I do not like Hussein, Saddam.
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

Would you like him in a box?
Would you like him with a fox?

    Not in a box.
    Not with a fox.
    Not in a house.
    Not with a mouse.
I would not like him here or there.
I would not like him anywhere.
I would not like Hussein, Saddam.
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

    Would you? Could you?
    In a car?
    like him! like him!
    He's not far.

I would not, could not, in a car.

    You may like him.
    You will see.
You may like him in a tree!

I would not, could not in a tree.
Not in a car! You let me be.
I do not like him in a box.
I do not like him with a fox.
I do not like him in a house.
I do not like him with a mouse.
I do not like him here or there.
I do not like him anywhere.
I do not like Hussein, Saddam.
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

    A train! A train!
    A train! A train!
Could you, would you, on a train?

Not on a train! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! Bush! Let me be!
I would not, could not, in a box.
I could not, would not, with a fox.
I will not like him with a mouse.
I will not like him in a house.
I will not like him here or there.
I will not like him anywhere.
I do not like Hussein, Saddam.
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

    Say!
In the dark? Here in the dark!
Would you, could you, in the dark?

I would not, could not, in the dark.

Would you, could you, in the rain?

I would not, could not, in the rain.
Not in the dark. Not on a train.
Not in a car. Not in a tree.
I do not like him, Bush, you see.
Not in a house. Not in a box.
Not with a mouse. Not with a fox.
I will not like him here or there.
I do not like him anywhere!

You do not like Hussein, Saddam?

I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

Could you, would you, with a goat?

I would not, could not, with a goat!

Would you, could you, on a boat?

I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not like him in the rain.
I will not like him on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!
I do not like him in a box.
I do not like him with a fox.
I will not like him in a house.
I do not like him with a mouse.
I do not like him here or there.
I do not like him ANYWHERE!
I do not like Hussein, Saddam!
I do not like him, Bush-I-am.

    You do not like him.
    So you say.
    Try him! Try him!
    And you may.
Try him and you may, I say.

    Bush!
If you will let me be, I will try him.
    You will see.

    Say!
I still don't like Hussein, Saddam!
I do not like him, Bush-I-am!
And I won't like him in a boat.
And I won't like him with a goat...
And I won't like him in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
He is no good, no good, you see!
So I won't like him in a box.
And I won't like him with a fox.
And I won't like him in a house.
And I won't like him with a mouse.
And I won't like him here and there.
Say! won't will like him ANYWHERE!

    I do not like
    Hussein, Saddam!
    No thank you, thank you,
    Bush-I-am!

To allow the people to communicate what they want.

I don't want Jeb to be president though he might well make a great president... I'd rather have him than Hillary, Gore, or Kerry... but hopefully none of them will win either.

No more Bushes, no more Clintons, no more Kennedys, no more Stevensons... any names that represent a family dynasty in national politics. Don't let any of them become Caesars.

How about Roosevelts? You forgot them. But no Stevenson has been POTUS, although Adlai gave it enough tries.

Maybe Amy Carter should run!! [IMG]

I included Stevenson because I know there is Adlai III, and I seem to remember others from that family in politics [not necessarily presidential candidates]. The Roosevelts were not closely related enough for this to apply, and I didn't intend to go as far back as Grandpa and Grandson Harrison ;) .

I don't like the name being an automatic advantage.

    Let's not overlook:

The Udall's - Stewart's son Tom is a Congressman from NM, his cousin Mark, who is also Mo Udall's son is Congressman from Colorado. Their cousin, Gordon Smith, is Congressman from Oregon, and is a Republican, while the Udall's are Democrats.

Here in Colorado, we also have US Senator Ken Salazar, and his brother, Congressman John Salazar.

Mc Cain cant win. He would never sure up the Republican Base. Jeb may be able to but I believe people will be concerned about a third Bush. Not because of their politics but because they are all from the same family.

06 & 08 are going to be decided on whether or not Republicans can get back to the basics. The dems still dont know how to spread their communist agenda without being upfront. Which no one would buy.

Revmitchell, in every post, no matter what the topic, you bring up communism. You are definitely obsessed. Can you at least make one post without referring to your favorite party?
