No, even G. Bush isn't that stupid. But it is hard to tell about others in that region. Historically this has been a very unstable region and fear may make other small nations there so some very irresponsible things.
The real danger, as I see it, is that Russia will decide to gobble up the former USSR states that gained their independence. Now that is very scary.
The Georgian president made a very bad blunder. You do not tweak the Russian bears nose ... not in his own back yard.
