Matthew 28:16 & 17
16-Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17-And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Who doubted? What did they doubt? Why did they doubt?
Much speculation by many commentary authors regarding this particular statement, "...but some doubted".
As believers do we doubt..., on occasion? When we ask for a special blessing either for ourselves or for others do we really "doubt" whether God will answer our prayers? Give us what we ask for?
It's been my impression that our doubting will often have serious consequences. Needless to say, our Lord does nothing to harm us as if we ask prayerfully for something and he says "no", chances are the answer is because He has something better for us just down the road. So why do we doubt anything?
No, our Lord does not harm us! We harm ourselves!
