In Deuteronomy 22:6 we see "“If you happen to come upon a bird’s nest along the way...." NASB

In 1 Samuel 6:9 we see "...it happened to us by chance.” NASB

In 2 Samuel 1:6 we see "By chance I happened to be on Mount Gilboa...." NASB

The Hebrew word "qara" H7122 is sometimes translated as "may befall him."

In the New Testament:

In Luke 10:31 we see "Now by chance a certain priest..." NKJV

In 1 Corinthians 15:37 we see "...but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else." NASB

The Greek word "tygchanō" G5177 indicates a possible but not predetermined future event.

Every poster who falsely claimed scripture does not teach some things happen by chance and other things happen because God caused or predestined them has also failed to acknowledge their error.

Absolute Sovereignty, where God causes or predestines everything is false doctrine, God's sovereignty is defined in scripture as God causing or allowing whatsoever comes to pass.

Thus the future is partially closed, predetermined and predestined, and partially open, allowing God to punish human autonomous choices to sin, and to provide the opportunity for some humans to have their choice to truth in Christ fully, be credited by God as righteousness. This makes salvation according to grace and not works.

Do not pass up your choice to trust in Christ, and do not let false teachers prevent you from taking hold of your opportunities.

The gospel of Christ!
