C--Where do you go when you need to get away?

I have an 18 acre woodlot on front of property with paths cut through it. When I was an active pastor, I walked the 18 hole local golf course..I didn't play, just walked it alone.

I go to bed and to sleep, and then go to a whole new world of my imagination.

 

I go and find something to knit ..............

I go to a baseball game.

If it's not baseball season, I wait until April and go to a baseball game.

I'm not saying it's healthy.

Motorcycle riding, especially at night to the beach!

 

To the garden-----I have several spots on FIL's farm where I raise various items----a "Corn Patch" here and a Potatoe patch there and Tomatoes/Squash/Peppers near the house----I'm in a world of my own when its vegatable growing season!!

 

I used to go to a quiet park and read a book. Since my son and grandson built us a patio in the back yard, and DH and I created a cute rock garden, I sit in the swing on the patio and read a book or just enjoy nature.

I love to go the beach - any time of the year - to get away. BUT we have a big easy chair in the living room right next to a window that's almost as good :tongue3:

 

I have a swing in my backyard where I go and sit when I need a break. In the last few days, tho, it has been too hot! We are having 100+ heat index today, so I'm staying inside!

There's really nowhere to go, especially since I no longer drive. It's a major issue in my life- it is mentally pretty unbearable since we live in a city area and there's a lot of crime. So even if I did find a calm place in walking distance, it would be dangerous to be there.

In most every place I've lived in, I've had a place to go and it was usually a secluded area by a river, ocean, or creek. Except in Alaska, but it was remote enough there that it wasn't as if you need to get away. You're away by definition! Very cool...

 

My mama didn't raise no fool!! When it's that hot all us southern gals stay inside in the air conditioning, pour a nice, tall glass of sweet iced tea, and play on the computer!!:type:
